UK Deliveries (edited July 2014)
We always try to despatch orders same day - it really depends on when your order is received here. In general, if we have your order by 2.00pm it will be posted same day. If your order is really urgent please e-mail and we can let you know for certain when your order will be despatched.
UK Royal Mail First Class post 1-2 working days
Because of the recent changes to Royal Mail rates we have had to amend our pricing structure. Parcels over 2.0kg are affected the most because Royal Mail are now charging £15 for a parcel which we offer for £6.
Where we list prices for 1st class post we will usually post them via Royal Mail. For larger orders we often use Parcel Force which is a trackable service.
UK Second Class 3 working days
We have just started to use Hermes for deliveries which do not require 1st class post because there is a significant cost saving with larger orders (over 1kg). We have been very pleased with the service received from Hermes who offer order tracking with deliveries usually arriving within three working days. We offer a price of £4.50 (plus vat) against the Royal Mail first-class price of £6.00 (plus vat). If you are not in a rush for your order then this service will be suitable for you.
UK Special Delivery - Royal Mail
If you need a fully trackable service then this is the one to choose. The options available depend on the actual time you place your order. Please note, selecting Special Delivery does not mean you should expect your order next day - it all depends on the time you place your order, so please contact us beforehand if you need a definite delivery day and time. If you need a Saturday delivery this will be an extra cost. Please contact us.
Airmail - none trackable
Our standard delivery to Ireland is via Royal Mail (Airmail). This is not a guaranteed service but from experience deliveries usually take about 5 days. If a delay does occur then we are unable to track the order or supply any further information about when it will arrive.
In practice, for larger orders, we use Parcel Force (at our discretion) which means we can offer lower delivery costs than Airmail. If you are listed as a "Remote Area" by Parcel Force then the delivery cost to us is increased and we will contact you to discuss options.
Customers are allowed now legally a 14 day "cooling off " period when you may return goods without any reason. You should e-mail us so we can expect it and when it arrives here we will refund your card less the cost of the original carriage.
In practice we always try to be helpful so please ask us if your order is outside the 14 day period. Sometimes customers have just ordered the wrong paper and want to change it. The only way we can do this is for you to return the incorrect paper as just described and receive a credit less original carriage when it arrives here. You can then place a new order for the correct paper.
An important condition to all of this is that the paper which is being returned must be packed properly. If it arrives here damaged and if we cannot re-sell it then we cannot refund you. Paper or card must be packed with an outside packing sheet on both sides which is larger than the paper being returned. This is to protect the edges and corners of the sheet. It must be then taped in position so it cannot slide. Then it needs to be packed in a good quality envelope. It is a good idea to obtain a Certificate of Posting from the Post Office in case the item is lost and you need to claim from them.
